Weally wet in the Wolds

Didnt sleep so well last night...... tossed and turned, no real reason......listened to an owl for quite a while close by outside, which was rather lovely to hear. Then the rain started on the velux in our vaulted ceiling.......it did eventually lull me to sleep, but woke up feeling a bit groggy at first!!

The rain was absolutely tipping it down when we got up and contined even heavier over breakfast, whilst we packed and loaded the car.

We had planned to go to The Cotswold Distillery this morning and then on to Warwick Castle on our way home, but the weather was so awful we decided to head on home.

The journey home wasnt too bad considering, but surface water and spray was a real pain.....most drivers were driving sensibly, but as usual, some idiots out there! Journey took us around three hours so not overly long.

We are now home, unpacked washer on......been trying to contact the photographer I am meeting this evening for a private couple of hours prior to the weddng i am photographing.....as i need his address. No reply.......he got married at weekend himself, im guessing he got his dates mixed up.....so hub has some company for the footy match on tv. Its my team v his!!!

We will definitely go back to the Cotswolds, enjoyed it despite the weather........blip is hub modelling his waterproofs ;-)
