Tobacco Warehouse

This immense building, Liverpool's Tobacco Warehouse, is the biggest brick-built warehouse in the world, looming over Stanley Dock and built in 1897-1901. I'd love to walk around for the grungy dereliction inside. There were lots of other colourful sights in the north docks area, including the immense Kingsway Tunnel ventilation shafts built in 1971.

Today's other main subjects were beds: one belonging to/created by Tracey Emin in the Tate Liverpool and, in a nearby room, Rachel Whiteread's "Untitled (Airbed II)" vying with the real thing along Waterloo Road. I like Tracey Emin's work.  This video explains today's exhibition, briefly.
