Emma's visit

Emma came today which was lovely as she had a day off work after her hols. She shared a day with Audrey and I which in hindsight was tough. Trying to be a friend and focus on Audrey's demands at the same time was hard work. She's really not an easy baby.

Maybe it would have been better to have had a babysitter? That way we could have really relaxed. But Emma didn't seem to mind and she mucked in, pushing the pram (pictured) and even running Audrey's bath for me. I just felt guilty that Emma and/or Audrey weren't getting enough attention. I feel guilty a lot these days.

We had a lovely lunch. And chatted a lot. It was a long overdue catch up. Always is with us both having such busy lives!

I haven't been much of a friend since I got pregnant/had Audrey to be fair. It has been all consuming and the experience can make you a little self centred at times. I need to invest more in my friendships.

However, right now I need to invest more in my rest. Am shattered. Another quick blip. Eyelids heavy.....
