look for signs that summer's done...

my children used to sing a hymn with this first line at primary school. It sounds rather sombre, but I like Autumn - not just because it's my birthday - I think, like many people I have a legacy from school days of associating it with fresh starts (and new stationery!).
I've been to my carbon conversations tonight, there's certainly plenty to think about in the way of fresh starts following that. Tonight we were focussing on food and water, I thought I was pretty good in this area. Actually I had no idea how much water goes on crops like coffee - of which I drink far too much. I did know that both meat and dairy were bad, but hadn't really made myself face up to it. Hmm. Much to think about.
