Nichol End
We set off from Braithwaite this morning and walked up the Newland Valley and on to Derwent Water. We then continued around Derwent Water to just past the southern end. At Lodor we caught the Keswick Launch back to Nichol End which is at the north west end of Derwent Water. From here, it was then about another couple of miles along quiet lanes and tracks back to where we started at Braithwaite.
My pedometer tells me we did over 9 miles and more than 20,000 steps.
My main Blip is the jetty at Nichol End and you can just see the launch about to leave again.
The extra shows Hector and Ziggy in hand on the shore of Derwent Water.
We're all meeting back up this evening for a final meal in Braithwaite before we make our way back home tomorrow.
Apologies for lack of comments at the moment but thanks so much for all the comments and stars an hearts this week. Hector and Ziggy were delighted to reach page 2 of popular for a couple of days, and asked me to pass on their thanks.
