B-line

It was another dull and dreary day, the intermittent rain fading to mizzle at times, and then re-asserting itself. Ben had his first exam today, which fortunately went OK. While he was working I braved the weather and did some plant recording round Swinstead. 

In the afternoon Pete and I accompanied Alex to Holywell Fish Ponds, a site that he's writing a management plan for. On part of the area Buglife have undertaken some wild flower seeding as part of their B-lines project, to try and provide green pathways for pollinators. After a somewhat shaky start it is now looking quite spectacular, and certainly brightened up a grey day!
