Mission San Juan Bautista

More traveling today, from Vacaville to Solvang all within California. It is so different traveling in the United States - drivers stay within their lanes, obey the traffic laws, and behave in a predictable manner (mostly) - that it becomes somewhat boring. Of course I am driving a ten foot U-Hual so I do have to pay attention more than I would if driving a normal size vehicle, even in the U.S. With a little less distance to travel, we were able to stop and visit the old mission in San Juan Bautista. Founded in 1797, it was the fifteenth of 21 missions in California and contains the largest church of all. A beautiful setting on a stunning day, it felt good to get out of the truck and walk around for awhile.
