Glorious Mt. Rainier

Well of course after 2 days of hiking without really seeing the mountain, (but no rain on us!) today we had to leave and here she is before 9 am! Picture postcard gorgeous, so I just had to pick this blip taken from the front of the Paradise Inn with the fall colors starting to show, where we have just stayed for 3 wonderful nights. It was wonderfully relaxing to not have internet or tv or cell phones working. And we enjoyed a great visit with H's brother T (blipper Stationmaster) and s-i-l MA from Durango. But here we are back to civilization (T and MA went on to a huge train show here) so I've just backblipped the last 3 days if you are interested in some views of Paradise. What a wonderful time we all had!!!!

Got home today in time for my book club. Julian Barnes' "Sense of an Ending" was enthusiastically discussed with lots of different opinions on what it was all about - a bit of a mystery but mostly personal reflections about memory....I was kind of middle of the road on this one....sorry.....
