Marina Grande

We've had a lovely last day in Sorrento and decided to go back to the Marina Grande for a late lunch. We had a drink here by the water's edge and then had a wander, looking at the different restaurants, although we weren't actually ready to eat.

We decided on one where they were really friendly and offered us free sunbeds on the beach until we wanted to eat. So we spent a relaxing hour with a glass of Prosecco before going to eat and that's when it got a little disappointing. The waiter wasn't particularly friendly and the food was mediocre.

We were going to have dessert but decided not to bother and walked back up into town where we sat in the main square and had a cake. That was a good choice!

We caught the hotel shuttle bus at 4.15pm and had an hour by the pool before our taxi to the airport.

We're now checked in and fly at 9.30pm, fingers crossed there's no delays!
