Soaking up the sun.
Really warm as well as sunny on this morning's walk.
As we entered the field across Altar Lane I could see these horses lying down in the field below enjoying the sun.
I went closer to the wall to take a photo and saw the lovely bluebells at the top of the field. Thought they made a nice combination.
Carrying on to the woods there were more bluebells up the field and throughout the woods, though perhaps getting a bit past their best. The aim was to look for deer but it looked as though we were going to be unlucky yet again.
The return route from Ravenroyd takes us through woods above the River Aire with the wild garlic was in full flower. As we got back to the climb up Altar Lane we could just make out three Roe deer on the edge of the woods - so not entirely fruitless.
