Street mermaids

We went on our first camping trip of the year to the town of Seward, which is on the other side of the Kenai Peninsula, about 75 miles away. This weekend was their "Mermaid Festival," thus the outfits of ladies who were dressed for the opening night pub crawl. Notice the warm dress of their dates - it was raining, windy, and cold! All the bars in Seward are on the same street, so at least they didn't have to walk (or crawl) far from one to the other! 
Extras are a 1936 beauty and my husband during a few brief hours of sunshine on Saturday. Long enough to build a fire, roast some hot dogs, and walk on the beach.
