Judging food

It's a rough job but somebody has to do it! Clash of the Culinary Kings is an annual chef competition held by the Food Bank as a fund raiser. Four chefs from local restaurants prepare an appetizer, main dish, and dessert. These volunteers judge the food on appearance, taste,  and use of the surprise ingredients. 
People pay $50 to enjoy a variety of  delicious appetizers donated by restaurants and can purchase beer or wine (also locally produced). 
Three friends and I volunteer to bus tables and wash dishes, our bonus is that besides being fun,  we get the appetizers and drinks for free! 
The winner this year was a man from Thailand who came here only 5 months ago to help his friend in a Thai restaurant, so it was quite a special event for him! The extras are of him thanking everyone. 
After each section the four plates of food are auctioned off to the audience, who noticeably spends more as the night goes on....
The winner's plate earned $500 for the Food Bank!
