Just walking along

I had only just left the sanctuary with the dog I was walking this afternoon and we were passing by the large pond when I spotted a Heron standing in the water. First he flew onto the base of a statue that is in the middle of the pond and then he walked around it until he was out of my sight. I thought it might have flown away when I couldn't see the pond any longer through the shrubs but when we reached the other side the Heron was walking along the sloping edge, probably looking for any fish to feed on.

Fortunately I was walking a very calm dog this time and she didn't scare off the Heron so I could take a few shots before we continued our walk.
