Not a flock of Seagulls
After posting this, my next words to put into Google are something like "photographic shop Edinburgh sensor cleaning".
I thought that I'd inadvertently captured a massive flock of distant seagulls when processing it! But no. Its all dust. The clone/heal tool has been overworked. Time to get the sensor cleaned.
I used to clean the sensor on my D50 with one of those Arctic Butterfly thingys. But not sure I want to venture that with my D700.
Anyone got any other suggestions?
A bit sombre at work today after some bad news about a colleague...
