Fledgling

The grey wagtail chicks have been very vocal the last few days so I guessed that it would nt be long until they fledged. i could nt see the nest but watched the adults fly down into the burn. Today was the day and I could hear that they were close by. I went outside and there was one on the fence. It stayed for a while and then flew down into the field. I could see another one on a small branch, only visible when it wagged it's tail. I watched them being fed mainly by their Dad.
Also the first baby Goldfinch arrived and more robins and starlings. Who will be next the Blackbirds or the bluetits both must be ready to fledge any day now, maybe they are waiting for the warm, dry spell forecast for the next few days
