Today's the day ......................... to sizzle

I don't remember the last time it was as hot as it's been today here - and, quite frankly, we're not very good at coping with heat.

It's not so bad when you're on holiday and all you have to do is read books and go for a dip in the pool if you get too hot.  If you're trying to do ordinary things - like cook meals or weed the garden - we just come over all dozy.  Talking of the garden, we're going to have to water it all again.  That's twice in as many weeks.  Normally, we're moaning about how wet it is.

On the plus side - the barbeque is on - and so the meal is easy.  And here's a nice bright thistle that doesn't seem to care what the weather is doing ...........................
