What A Lovely Day

There was some lovely light through the leaves on the morning walk.
I particularly liked the light on the fir buds.

After a late afternoon walk with PD (to avoid the worst of the heat ..... he really needs to learn that it is okay to drink water from a bottle) Squirrel insisted on going out on her roller skates. She isn't brilliant - in fact, she is pretty rubbish. This was her trying to keep her balance and not dancing with her shadow.

When we got home I noticed that the Bluetits were in and out like yoyos so there had to be hungry young mouths in the box.
So I sat for a bit with the camera and watched the antics. 
I was quite pleased when one of them came back with a huge spider and an eager beak appeared. Maybe there was a bit of a lesson being taught about waiting patiently for your food because the spider was taken in - and back out - no less than three times before it stayed in there.
