Edison Again
We were having dinner with friends Andy and Connie last week, and mentioned that we were planing to go to Edison for two reasons -- the 10-year anniversary art show at the Smith and Vallee art gallery, and the oysters at the Edison Inn. They thought that was an excellent idea, and asked to go with us. We always enjoy their company, so plans were made, and today was the day.
A and C are both keen cyclists, and know all the back roads intimately. I recognized part of the route A took, but much of it was new to me. We avoided the freeway completely, at one point driving on a stretch of unpaved road. It was a beautiful scenic trip.
We enjoyed the art display, and bought a painting by someone I know from my frequent visits to the Re Store. It might well be in a blip soon.
Everyone chose oysters for lunch, and they were, as always, excellent. We never run out of things to talk about with these friends -- often sharing experiences about trips we've made and would like to make. Today's conversation resulted in plans for another day trip soon.
It was a great day.
