Crossing over

Crossed the bridge to Wales tonight to surprise family tomorrow. The view was pretty cool in the dark.
We left after I attended a lovely gathering with colleagues, most of whom I'm lucky to count as friends. We said good bye to a great colleague whose humour I will miss greatly. I didn't want to leave and pushed my leaving time as close to the mark as I could before The Other Half could get annoyed with me!
The journey was smooth despite the heat with barely any traffic. We were greeted by a lovely welcome letter left for us by The Stepdaughter!
We said goodbye to our y11s today- I was genuinely sad to see them go, especially my first GCSE class and I felt rather old for the first time in my career too!
