This Tree

Just barely making it in by midnight as I post this at 23:48.  This tree is my Giving Tree.  Every year it surprises us with a new cycle.  Some years there are few flowers, some years the flowers have hung on the entire summer, very unusual for a Dogwood, some years it is just covered in blossoms like this year.  In the fall it will have big red bumpy berries and brilliant color.  It is just outside Sumner's bedroom window, if it had been daylight, it would have been the last thing she saw.  I took this shot and then another (in extras) with a homemade filter and couldn't decide which one I liked best.
