Old Chania

Only a few minutes' walk from the busy tavernas of the harbour, the teeming narrow streets where the sellers of leather goods and summer clothing attract the crowds, this ancient building - perhaps Venetian - looks over a tiny alley leading round the ancient city walls of Chania.

I thought it would make a change from blue skies and seascapes; the building above this door was tottering in ruination but as I don't know how to post extra photos with my phone I can't show it here...
