This very desirable, little hideaway is in our garden and inhabited again this year by a family of great tits. Here's mum, returning with the evening meal from the local grubstore. Many years ago, in a life before blip, we had a dead conifer. The Mate came and felled it for us leaving the stump about 6' high. We used it as a bird table for a while but then put this nest box on top of it, temporarily. In 2009 #1 Daughter got married and we bought a lot of ivy to decorate the venue. Afterwards we planted some of it at the base of this tree.

So! I've had a very nice day today. The Man was off with his brother to look for Lady's Slipper orchids and I watched F1 and got ready for a party. Two of my former employees, mum and daughter were having a barbeque. Mum knew absolutely nothing about it but daughter had set up an FB page to invite friends to a surprise 50th birthday party.

Yes! She was certainly surprised to find a group of us in her daughters garden when she thought they were going to the pub!
