Camp Day 2

I woke early and was up and dressed before 6. That hour when it is often just me and Akela is the quietest on camp!!

It was misty and a bit mizzly - the forecast heavy rain (with weather warning) meant we amended our plans to hike to the beach. My planned science activity would not work so the combined experience of the leaders led to an ad hoc day of improvised activities - it worked though!

The day ended with a great campfire - my Brownies got really into it and even led a couple of songs. Eldest and The Boy love a campfire and both did a turn. Like everything else this weekend, it all just fell into place and worked!

Thankfully no more tears or sickness - a new camp record is set with all the children in bed and asleep by 10.15!!
