Maybe she's semaphoring "peace" -- it's rare to see two hummingbirds sharing the feeder without strife. Earlier, the same bird reminded me of a tiny ballerina (see extra).
Our weather has reverted to cool and very wet, after a few lovely days of sunshine. The back deck feeders had a constant stream of hungry creatures, both avian -- from wee hummingbirds to pileated woodpeckers -- and mammalian (several squirrel species).
Our chorale had its last regular rehearsal tonight. On Saturday, we will have a three-hour rehearsal with the orchestra -- and on Sunday afternoon, the long-anticipated performance. It's been a wonderful experience to delve so deeply into the Brahms Requiem!
