When the Prime Minister dropped in!

Today Mr Tbay and I headed for the Bath and West Show where he was involved in the Prince of Wales Community Award as a Judge this year. The presentation was first thing at the opening of the Show which involved Mr Tbay giving a speech about the finalists and then announcing the winner!

After this we headed for the Young Farmers Marquee, the theme of which is Strawberries and Cream this year. Whilst talking and helping out we discovered that the Prime Minister Theresa May would be calling on to see the tent! The tent suddenly filled with the paparazzi and a lot of not so discrete body guards. There was hardly any room for the Young Farmers!! Anyway she spent 10 minutes with us talking to the members and then she was whisked away to her next stop! All very exciting .

Mr Tbay then headed off to have lunch with the winners of the POW award. I joined friends for lunch after which we headed back to the marquee for a Strawberry and Prosecco Reception at which a local strawberry grower gave a very interesting address to the assembled company.

This finale of the day was attending the Show Presidents Reception followed by the the Royal Marines Band performing for us. Having beat the retreat we then headed home.

Super day but pretty tired now!!
