Dahlia imperialis

Tree dahlia its common name. They can grow up to 20 feet but this one beside the estuary had been cut back so handy to take. There was a bumblebee on one but in the dark area so just a blob. I may change this as I like bits from two and can't decide. I like the composition of this but like the mauve streaks in the extra. Neither very sharp but lucky to find a flower. (Sticking with this. It looks better up than I thought it would).

I had a lazy day. Caught up on magazine reading, finished a book, picked mandarins and took to the neighbours, most activities taking place sitting in the sun.
