Balgavies Loch

Much warmer this afternoon and the occasional sighting of the sun too, so we drove to Forfar to see the ospreys at Balgavies Loch.  

We did see them, but rather too far away to get any good shots.  However, this beautiful jay landed just in front of me and I couldn't decide whether to show his front or back so I've given you the other side in Extras!

There's also a shot of the Loch, a heron on its scruffy nest and a poor attempt to capture the osprey with a very brave (or very foolish?) pigeon sitting right in front of him:-)
