Sleeping on the Job

The day started off well with warm sunshine and blue skies, so TJ and I headed to the wild garden to clear the weed from the ponds.  We found this character stretched out among the daisies instead of minding the pond!  Not that he was ever any good at his job anyway, as all the fish got eaten by a real heron years ago:-)

No sooner had the pondweed been laid out to dry before composting it, than the heavens opened and that was the gardening over for the day.  So much still to do, but we need good weather to do it:-)
