Garden Party

It was our church's Summer Fair today. The organisers had, however, decided on a scaled-down event and so it was advertised as a Garden Party with the main feature being the cream teas, although there were a few other stalls where people could browse and buy.

The weather forecast was not good, so a decision was taken on Friday to have the tearoom indoors (the Manse is currently unoccupied) with the stalls under a gazebo out in the garden. It turned out to be a good call as the early sunshine turned to heavy rain within the first hour of opening.

On the plus side, it went very well and moreover we were finished and cleared up before the thunder and lightning and heavy rain came in the afternoon.
