Grasmere Gallop

Enjoyed a lovely half day in Grasmere supporting daughter K in the Grasmere Gallop 10k trail run organised by the National Trust. The weather was perfect for running. There were 1k and 5k fun runs and 10k and 17.5k trail runs which were also open to Nordic walkers. The start looked a bit calamatous as all the runners and the walkers with their poles started simultaneously.  Daughter K is in extras and is pictured just after the start waving and smiling. I think she would prefer this image to the one I took as she approached the finish. She described the course as brutal. Refreshments were enjoyed afterwards in Tweedies bar.
