Trophies

No one woke up early today.  We were fortunate that there was no work going on at the building site, and the gas people don’t seem to work at the weekend. Peace.  We pottered and did a few chores this morning before all heading off to BB’s football tournament.  TT and I went for a  wnder while they were warming up.  TT got a haircut, while I just killed some time.  Back at the pitches we bumped into a few people from BB’s old football team.  When the team collapsed, the players went to play for two different teams.  It was nice to see them all again.

We got home late afternoon for a late lunch.  I then had a brisk walk to the supermarket for a couple of things.

Once home I had to get them organised to head out to a birthday party – a joint 60th and 14th!  It was  party for adults and children – and was a really nice evening.  The venue (and the weather) was perfect for the children playing outside, while the adults socialised inside.  We walked there and back (it’s quite a walk), with BB scooting.  He scooted home quite happily, till we got to the hill.  Tiredness hit him at that point.

It was a really nice evening with good friends, sadly interrupted by the news from London.
