Bye Bye Bowling Alley

In June 1996 a garden center and gift shop was opened in this glass building in Hafnarstræti 26.  Twelve years later it was turned into a bowling alley and has been a lively addition to our neighbourhood ever since.  
With the latest town planning the council decided to have it torn down and new apartment buildings will be built instead.
Since May 1st the equipment and interiors have been sold or transported to storage and now the removing of glass has started.
I thought it would be interesting to have "before-and-after" photos to see how it turns out.  Hope I don't forget to post the after, since it will probably be months or a year (or more!) until it's finished. Might add some "work in progress"-photos.

We had a very relaxing day at home, watching TV, reading and tackling Mt. Laundry.
