Chicken Escapee

It was a fine morning, but cloudy.  The afternoon had some showers, but dried up and a fine calm cloudy evening.

I got the caravan packed up this morning, ready for heading out in the afternoon.  I headed up north to my sister's for a cuppa and yarn, before the ferry.  Mam was taken into hospital last night, so I've been in visiting her for a while with dad and niece Eve.  Hopefully she'll get out tomorrow.  I also met friends Keith, Mark and Dean, who were in visiting their granny.  Walkies with Sammy, and now feet up.

Sister Julie has had a terrible day with her chickens, they have found an escape route.  Not long after getting some of them back in, they were out on the road again.  She has 22 chickens, so I got a dozen eggs to take home.  Mmm lovely eggs, fresh straight from the croft.  I'm going to pickle them with chilli.  Julie pictured here with a chicken at Haroldswick, Unst.
