Sgwarnog: In the Field

Snout

I spent most of the night drifting in and out of sleep with the radio on: grim, compelling, human. So a Sunday with no commitments seemed some sort of antidote and therapy, just a gentle safari amongst the local micro fauna.

Adopting the role of neighbourhood rhinocerous, this Snout moth - you'll find them in the nettles if you give them a nudge.

On the butterfly front, Speckled Wood numbers seem to be growing and the first Large Skipper was out (20th species of the year). A couple of Green-veined White and a very faded Peacock rounded out the day.
