Murmuration

Sheep, sheep...

and more sheep, sums up a large part of today's walk, knackered knee coming a close second.
Today the walk took me from Ballindalloch to Grantown on Spey and was much more arduous than the previous day as there was a reasonable amount of up hill and rough ground. Still, it was beautifully sunny and very hot. Rather bizarrely, despite being called the Speyside Way, you hardly ever catch sight of the river and if you do it is very distant. A good deal of the land is owned by big estates and some refused to give permission for the route to go by the river. Sad.
Saw quite a few squirrels along the way but this was the only decent photo I got. Also heard, but never saw, a good number of cuckoos.
Tonight's accommodation was a nice old guest house owned by an ebullient Irishman and his wife. I am very sun burnt!
