Lyme Regis
Lyme Regis was in a genteel mood today.
While just a few days ago this beach was packed with holiday makers and noise, today a gentle sun shone down on a beach near empty except for a few young moms pushing their little ones in their buggies slowly along the sands soaking up the peace and quiet.
At this time of year the holiday makers from both ends of the age groups. There are the retired folk and also young couples with pre school age children, both I imagine taking advantage of the lower price of holidays now that the children are back to school and a few young newly married couples relishing the opportunity to find space and time to be alone together.
In amongst it all were a group of children from a local primary, whose teacher had brought them down to the beach complete with books and pencils to enjoy with the rest of us the last few days of summer. Mrs M and I falling within the older group, walked the prom and town before sitting in the sun on a bench in the garden over looking the Cobb and the sea, recharging the batteries.
Its surprising how tired you can get just watching the world go by!
