Making Tracks at Birdling's Flat
A quick trip back onto my old stomping ground today with a visit to Birdling's Flat. These quadbike tracks (four wheel motorbikes are a favourite of local fisherman, certainly easier than making their way through the heavy gravel) drew my eye to this composition with the beautiful cliffs of Oashore bay and Magnet Bay in the distance.
This was shot with a polariser, ND3.0 and ND0.9 filters for around about 14 stops of light reduction, allowing me to do a 50" exposure mid morning, slow enough for me to smooth the pounding pacific waves to a gentle millpond.
