A Quick Dip
A top scavenger; the Red Kite circled in the wind eyeing the dead fish floating on the surface of the water on the pond.
The huge wingspan helps kites glide effortlessly in rather buoyant and leisurely flight with a constant twisting of the tail to steer and manoeuvre - at any time making them magnificent to watch. Being more blustery today did mean it had to work that little bit harder.
I just love his colours and what a treat to see as they aren't well known for this type of behaviour over water.
