Rural Aswan
Aswan is on the Nile, with high sand dunes on one side. As it was even hotter today, and holiday mode is finally taking over, all I managed was a motor boat trip for an hour or so.
This caught my eye; it typifies so well the contrasts that Egypt is. Me staying in a lovely hotel, and the simple, rural lifestyle. This man had been cooling off in the river as we went by.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing by the pool, reading, and eventually the flight back to crazy, noisy Cairo.
Also a little preoccupied trying to obtain medicine (for some is hard to get since the devaluation) for a friend's sister. Although it's been recommended, the neurosurgeons can't agree what the problem is...and too much time is being lost.
Welcome to Egypt, the locals will say.
