General Election results

I arrived at the stadium before 9pm. Wonderful evening sunshine, I love June when it is like this.

Around 3am the local results were announced. Barbara Keeley (magenta jacket) and Rebecca Long-Bailey both won with increased majorities.

I returned home tired but elated. To cap the night I saw a barn owl on the way home, it alighted on a post by the road. I slowed down for a good look. Stunning bird.

Theresa May took an opportunistic gamble in calling an election she did not need to call. That gamble has spectacularly backfired. I wonder when we will next return to the stadium ?
