Oksfjord Glacier

This glacier is the only one in the whole of Norway to run directly into the sea.  Earlier in the day a two hour stop in Hammerfest gave me the chance to walk up onto high ground behind the town for peace and quiet with brilliant views. If you look carefully you can see a chimney emitting flames/ smoke. This is from the first gas processing plant in Norway. Gas found way out at sea is broigh by pipeline to this plant and  then changed into LPG and shipped out in massive spherical canisters.
