Delphiniums

Visited a school friend I have known since I was 11.  Her garden is crammed with flowers and she has a fine patch of delphiniums.  
She always cooks a fantastic meal and I took some strawberries to share with her while we chatted and had a good catch up.  Her first two sons are the same age as mine.  She went on to have another son and a daughter, but I didn't join her!
Her husband died 3 months before mine, so we have a lot in common.
We walked to her local garden centre and both bought plants we didn't know we needed!
