Meeting at Yale

We met our friends Marge and Steve (here with Marylee) in New Haven CT for lunch today (at Thali Too--see the small sign). We're outside the Yale Coop (the main retail store at Yale).Later my son Adrian and his partner Liv joined us for coffee and pastry.  A lovely day, including exhibitions at the Yale University Art Gallery on Josef and Annie Albers, and  with photographs by Lee Friedlander of the Prayer Pilgrimage for Freedom  in 1957--the first major civil rights rally in Washington DC, commemorating the third anniversary of the the decision on school desegregation (Brown v. Board of Education).  The well-known March on Washington was in 1963,  six years later.
