A day at the races ......

..... well not exactly!  L and I spent part of the morning at the Scottish Schools Rowing Championships at Strathclyde Park.

So many boats, oars, young people, family members, coaches and supporters but we did manage to meet up with IsleMum which was really nice. Her daughter was taking part ..... great to meet a fellow blipper even for a short time.

I normally watch rowing on TV where I have a close up view of the action .... the real thing is not so easy to follow as the boats are so far away in the centre of the loch but you do get caught up in all the activity as boats and oars are carried shoulder high down the path at the side of the loch.

The extra shows a couple of well camouflaged ducklings we spotted as we walked back to the car.
