Lochcarron
This is a Backblip due to being in complete radio silence for the past 24 hours. No internet and no phone. However our satellite dish allows us to get a TV signal wherever we are.
We drove the famous "Road to Applecross" in a torrential rainstorm and gale force wind. I would have blipped a picture but all my shots had water spots on the lens. It was a spectacular drive nonetheless. This picture was taken in the slightly calmer LochCarron where we found an amazing supermarket.
Following this we drove over the bridge to Skye and found a stunning campsite right on the beach at GlenBrittle. It had a fantastic view out to sea and the island of Rum in one direction and a backdrop of the Cuillin mountains in the other (see extras).
It really was one of the nicest locations we have ever stayed and we could tolerate the lack of facilities.
Weather was lovely in the evening but a major storm came in overnight
