A remote postbox

Today it poured with rain, the first really wet day of the holiday. As it's our only full day on Harris before heading for home, we had a general tour around.

We drove to Lewis and looked around Stornaway and explored a couple of remote peninsulars on Harris.

I liked this postbox that was on the roadside with only a couple of houses anywhere near it. They had a daily collection which must be very challenging in bad weather.

The extra photo is of a school in the same remote area, nowhere close to any houses. I wonder if Ofsted inspect them out there?
