A Stare in the 'Stones

Lisa went with me today on a Sunday afternoon drive. It is hot here (93F-31C), so we stayed in our van with the air on.

I only saw 2 blip-worthy things. 3 way-too-far-away blue heron nests, and this sand-hill crane couple.

They didn't squawk for me. I think their "talking" is my favorite sound in nature.
