The 'Green Shop' garage forecourt

I took our car to have a service this morning at the 'Green Shop' garage just outside the village of Bisley. Roger B., who is the owner, is a keen environmentalist and having established his garage many years ago he gradually began to add other services on the site including the 'Green Shop'. Now they can offer advice and products for rainwater harvesting, wind harnessing, systems to tap solar energy, low toxicity paints, efficient heating systems as well as books on environmental issues and lots of local products.

When they built the Green Shop they incorporated all the related technologies to practice what they preach, including a green roof, which is now covered with flowers. Just outside the entrance to the shop is this small pond with a Cotswold limestone wall. As I stood waiting for my lift back home at 8-30am, I thought this scene would make a good blip journal entry.
