Flat Stanley and Johnny's Adventure

At school Johnny is reading Flat Stanley. The story is about Stanley Lambchop and his younger brother Arthur. They are given a big bulletin board by their father to display pictures and posters. He hangs it on the wall over Stanley's bed. During the night the board falls from the wall, flattening Stanley in his sleep. He survives and makes the best of his altered state, and soon he is entering locked rooms by sliding under the door, and playing with his younger brother by being used as a kite. One special advantage is that Flat Stanley can now visit his friends by being mailed in an envelope. Stanley even helps catch some art museum thieves by posing as a painting on the wall. Eventually Arthur changes Stanley back to his proper shape with a bicycle pump.

Last week the kids were asked to post it to someone for them to take it on an adventure. Johnny sent his to Granny and Papa. So today, with Flat Stanley, Johnny, Katie, Granny, Papa and Snuffles went to the Whitelees Windfarm for his 2nd adventure!!

Yesterday Flat Stanley was heading into Glasgow with Papa when Papa became unwell and the bus had to stop at the Victoria Infirmary. The paramedics had to come over from the hospital to collect my Dad from the bus and take him for observations in A&E. After 3 hours of being monitored the Doctors said it was ok for Papa to go home but unfortunately Papa was in no condition to take a picture! Although he is fine today and nobody should worry!!

I wonder what Flat Stanley with do with Granny and Papa tomorrow???

Katie now wants to do a Flat Stanley so Mummy has printed one off for her to colour in and then I think we will send that somewhere a little further away.....who will receive the envelope with Flat Stanley in???????

Johnny done superbly at swimming again today and was up and down the length of the pool so many times, well done Johnny! Jodie worked him hard today!!

Megan is away for a sleepover with Lauren and the other 3 will be tucked up nice and early as Katie is "feeling the strain" of this being at school all day now.

Enjoy your Saturday evening.
