Fully excavated

We spent the majority of today breaking up and removing the old concrete from the fireplace in the boys room. When we first started to remove it, it appeared to have been poured directly onto the ceiling of the lounge below! It turned out it wasn't but it was supported on very thin latts. Rick has properly sealed the chimney flue and the top is capped so there shouldnt be any more dead birds now either. So now it's free from dead birds, nests, newspapers and crumbling concrete... its all ready to start bricking back up.
